Committee guidelines to conduct its activities, (see Article IX of the Constitution) The NC should should have 3 active members including the President , who is in charge of the Committee to: 1. -Plans their yearly activities and divide the work among them 2. –Send in February its yearly plan of activities and budget to the Executive Committee (EC) 3.- Request nominations from the past Presidents of the Committees in order to have cndidaes to elect the Member of the Year, member to be presented in April at the Spring Party. 4. –Send in December its annual report to the EC 5. -Attend the monthly meetings to present the monthly report or e-mailed it to the EC 6.- Consult Article IX of the Constitution to conduct the process of the Elections 7.- Sends a letter to the membership (see official list) in November, requesting auto-nominations, and confirmed nominations. Remember that one active member can't be nominated for more than two committes (Article 8 "Committes", Section 7) 8.- Presents the roster of nominations including their own* in December and 9.- Conducts the Elections at the Annual Meeting in January and empowers the newly elected Executive Board and Board of Directors with the Oath of Office ceremony. Oath of Office “Do you solemnly swear to the best of your ability to execute , preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the HACC.”
*A practical ways to produce the roster of nominations is: To seek nominees for the Presidents of the Committees and To ask them to nominate the members of his or her own Committee
